Low Phosphorus Lamb and Low Phosphorus Pork are recommended by veterinarians wanting to lower the phosphorus levels in dogs with kidney or renal issues. Because we use only boneless muscle meat that is naturally low in phosphorus, the protein can remain at levels recommended for maintaining energy and muscle mass, with only the phosphorus being lower. Because these do not meet the AAFCO standard for Phosphorus, these are labeled for intermittent feeding only unless recommended by a veterinarian.
